Associate Analyst

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, improve, and test our credit risk models for use in determining appropriate lending criteria and verification processes
  • Develop, improve, and test our fraud models
  • Develop criteria to effectively spend marketing dollars
  • Conduct specific analysis using statistical and financial resources to recommend risk management, marketing, and operational strategies
  • Communicate the information gained through data analysis to management by way of presentations and write-ups of results and recommendations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, statistics, or quantitative field
  • Advanced knowledge of general statistical concepts and analysis, statistical/econometric practices
  • Advanced programming ability using SAS or other statistical software
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and advanced use of statistical applications/databases
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Team player, and innovative thinker
  • Maturity, sensible judgment, and hands-on analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to identify uncommon solutions to complex problems
